The Director - Commission Services explained the process for the election of Vice-Chair and called for nominations. Chair Myers nominated Commissioner Mihevc for the position of Vice-Chair. Commissioner Mihevc accepted the nomination. Commissioner Osborne nominated Commissioner Jagdeo for the position of Vice-Chair. Commissioner Jagdeo accepted the nomination. On a majority vote of the Board, Commissioner Mihevc was elected as Vice-Chair.

The TTC Board is comprised of six Council Members and four Citizen Members. City Council appoints the Chair of the Board from among the Councillor Members of the Board. The Vice-Chair is a Citizen member elected by Board members at the beginning of each term. On March 26, 2025. Joe Mihevc was appointed to replace outgoing Vice-Chair Joanne De Laurentiis. Ms. De Laurentiis was first appointed to the TTC Board in November 2016 and has served as Vice-Chair of the TTC Board since May 2020.
