On the agenda
As the city filed it
The Canadian Helen Keller Centre's (CHKC) affordable and supportive development project, designed to be accessible for the deaf-blind community, is progressing well and will soon reach the occupancy stage. Located at 150 Eighth Street, this 56-unit residential development will be home to a significant deaf-blind population. At occupancy, there will be a sudden localized increase in the demographic of people who need and rely on pedestrian accessibility and safety measures so that they can safely navigate their neighbourhood.
