North York Community Council: 1. Rescinded the existing 15-minute maximum parking limit on the north side of Castlefield Avenue, between a point 15 metres east of Avenue Road and a point 21.5 metres further east. 2. Amended the existing parking prohibition, in effect at all times, on the north side of Castlefield Avenue, between a point 36.5 metres further east of Avenue Road and Yonge Street, to be in effect between Avenue Road and Yonge Street.

My office has received communications from residents expressing concerns regarding traffic congestion and safety around the area of Castlefield Avenue and Avenue Road. The overwhelming demand for student drop-off and pick-up activity does not allow for parents to park for any length of time in the limited four parking spaces. Therefore, for maximum efficiency it must operate as a kiss and ride where parking is prohibited.

Councillor Mike Colle recommends that: 1. North York Community Council rescind the existing 15-minute maximum parking limit on the north side of Castlefield Avenue, between a point 15 metres east of Avenue Road and a point 21.5 metres further east. 2. North York Community Council amend the existing parking prohibition, in effect at all times, on the north side of Castlefield Avenue, between a point 36.5 metres further east of Avenue Road and Yonge Street, to be in effect between Avenue Road and Yonge Street.
