The Scarborough Community Council: 1. Authorized the installation of all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of Presley Avenue and Florens Avenue

On the agenda

As the city filed it

Our office has been made aware of multiple collisions at the intersection of Presley Avenue and Florens Avenue, as well as recurring right-of-way conflicts and near misses, creating ongoing safety concerns for road users including pedestrians, cyclists, seniors, and children in this residential area with regular foot traffic from nearby schools and community destinations. All-way compulsory stop controls improve right-of-way clarity and enhance safety for all road users.

While I understand the intersection does not meet technical warrants, documented safety concerns and strong community support justify the installation of an all-way stop to improve safety and neighborhood livability.
