As per the principal of Eastview Public School, the existing School Bus Loading Zone on Waldock Street is currently scaled for a capacity that far exceeds the school's actual needs. Currently, the school is serviced by four to five buses. The current oversized zone results in a significant portion of the curb remaining vacant while simultaneously prohibiting parents from using that space for safe student drop-off. The lack of a designated short-term stopping area has created a "friction point" on Waldock Street.

Parents attempting to drop off students often stop in "No Stopping" zones or double-park, which forces following traffic to merge into the opposing lane to pass. By repurposing the surplus bus zone into a "Kiss and Ride" area, the school can provide a legal and predictable environment for families, thereby removing stopped vehicles from the active westbound through-lane and improving overall child safety. These recommendations seek to right-size parking zones to match current school operations. These changes will alleviate traffic congestion and provide safer options for parents.
