This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. Transportation Services is recommending the installation of speed humps on Fairglen Avenue, between Corinthian Boulevard and Altair Avenue. Staff's assessment indicates the criteria as set out in the Traffic Calming Policy has been satisfied. Therefore, speed humps should be installed on Fairglen Avenue.
Staff recommended
The Director, Enforcement and Street Management, Transportation Services recommends that: 1. Scarborough Community Council authorize the installation of traffic calming (ten speed humps) on Fairglen Avenue, between Corinthian Boulevard and Altair Avenue, generally as shown in Attachments 2 and 3, Drawing Nos.TC-628 and TC-628-1, dated December 2025 from the Director, Enforcement and Street Management Transportation Services.

2. Subject to approval of Recommendation 1 above, Scarborough Community Council reduce the speed limit from 40 km/h to 30 km/h on Fairglen Avenue, between Corinthian Boulevard and Altair Avenue, in conjunction with the installation of speed humps.
