Deleted its decision on Item TE29.67 and adopted Option 3 in the report (February 11, 2026) from the Deputy Chief Building Official and Director, Toronto and East York District as follows: 3. Approve the applications to demolish two existing attached 3-storey mixed-use buildings containing four vacant residential units at 60 and 64 Dundas Street East with the following conditions: a.

construction fences be erected in accordance with the provisions of the Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 363, Article 7, if deemed appropriate by the Chief Building Official and Executive Director, Toronto Buildings; b. all debris and rubble be removed immediately after demolition; c. sod be laid on site and that the site be maintained free from garbage and weeds, in accordance with the Municipal Code Chapter 629-10, Paragraph B and 629-11; and d. any holes on the property are backfilled with clean fill.

At its February 19, 2026 meeting, the Toronto and East York Community Council adopted the full set of staff recommendations for Item TE29.67. However, the staff recommendations were a choice between Option 1, Option 2 or Option 3. It is therefore necessary for the Toronto and East York Community Council to re-open the Item in order to clarify its decision. This motion is urgent as Toronto Metropolitan University requires
