As the city filed it

Margueretta Street, between College Street and Dundas Street West, is located between two busy major arterials. This block attracts both heavy pedestrian activity heading towards nearby locations and heavy cut-through traffic attempting to avoid nearby intersections. I have heard from many residents that speeding vehicles are a daily challenge, impacting the safety of all road users. Many residents have shared their experiences of near-accidents and highlighted the urgent need for traffic safety measures.

In response to this issue, my office conducted a neighbourhood survey to hear feedback about ways to improve safety. Residents strongly supported installing speed humps as a traffic calming measure. The installation of speed humps will help to reduce speeding, redirect traffic, and improve safety for residents and their families.
