On the agenda

As the city filed it

Muir Avenue is an important local route located south of Dufferin Mall and runs west from Dufferin Street. I have heard from residents on Muir Avenue who have shared concerns about speeding vehicles and dangerous driving that are impacting safety. Residents have shared their experiences with near accidents and have requested urgent traffic safety improvements. In a neighbourhood survey my office hand-delivered to homes, residents voted in support of traffic calming measures in response to these issues.

Traffic calming measures are already in place on nearby streets, and this additional installation on Muir Avenue will support existing improvements. These measures will help reduce speeding, reduce cut-through traffic, and improve safety for all who are driving, cycling, or walking.
