This report seeks authorization from the Board of Management of the Toronto Zoo to collaborate with the City of Toronto and a community partner for the purposes of pursuing a potential development opportunity at the Toronto Zoo.
Staff recommended
The Chief Executive Officer, Toronto Zoo, recommends that the Board of Management of the Toronto Zoo: 1. Endorse in principle the repurposing of the southeast portion of Parking Lot 1 for a potential development opportunity as described in Confidential Attachment 1, subject to completion of relevant planning reviews, impact studies, and engagement with the City of Toronto as outlined in Recommendation 2. 2. Direct Toronto Zoo staff to work through City of Toronto Corporate Real Estate Management, and in collaboration with CreateTO, and other relevant parties, to advance discussions and negotiations with a community partner on a potential development opportunity as described in Confidential Attachment 1.
