  Filling Vacancies in Aboriginal Affairs Advisory Committee Membership - Update

  The Co-Chairs, Aboriginal Affairs Advisory Committee, will lead a discussion on approaches for filling vacancies on the Aboriginal Affairs Advisory Committee.

  Toronto Ravine Strategy Update and Developing Economic Opportunities for Indigenous Businesses

  Wendy Strickland, Project Manager, Ravine Strategy, Parks, Forestry and Recreation, and Jeff D'Hondt, Consultant, Indigenous Affairs Office, will give a presentation on the implementation of the Toronto Ravine Strategy, including the exploration of the feasibility of developing economic opportunities for Indigenous businesses that contribute to the goals of the Toronto Ravine Strategy and Indigenous place-making in the City of Toronto's parklands.

  The Aboriginal Affairs Advisory Committee recommends that: 1. The Executive Committee request the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation, in consultation with the Director, Indigenous Affairs Office, and other appropriate City staff, to consult with the broader Indigenous community on the implementation of the Toronto Ravine Strategy.

  2019-2022 Poverty Reduction Strategy Mid-Term Update and Tkaronto Prosperity Plan

  Representatives from the Poverty Reduction Strategy Office, City of Toronto, and the Toronto Aboriginal Support Services Council will present a preliminary mid-term status update for the 2019-2022 Poverty Reduction Strategy Action Plan and an update on the critical path for development of the Tkaronto Prosperity Plan and the Toronto Aboriginal Research Project 2. Feedback from Committee members will be incorporated into the Poverty Reduction Strategy's staff report to be considered by the Executive Committee at its June 1, 2021, meeting.
