  Appointment of Public Members to the Toronto Public Library Board

  The Civic Appointments Committee will conduct interviews and recommend two candidates to City Council for appointment to the Toronto Public Library Board.

  The Civic Appointments Committee recommends that: 1. City Council appoint the following candidates to the Toronto Public Library Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on November 14, 2022, and until successors are appointed: Sarwar Choudhury Alison Menary 2. City Council direct that Confidential Attachments 1 to 4 to the report (October 4, 2019) from the City Clerk remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Public Library Board.

  The City Clerk recommends that: 1. The Civic Appointments Committee recommend two candidates for appointment to the Toronto Public Library Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on November 14, 2022, and until successors are appointed. 2. City Council direct that the confidential information contained in Confidential Attachments 1 to 4 remain confidential in its entirety as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Public Library Board.

  Toronto and Region Conservation Authority - Selection of Candidates for Interview

  A public member of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) Board has recently resigned. The Civic Appointments Committee must select candidates to be interviewed for appointment to the TRCA. The Civic Appointments Committee will conduct interviews at its November 13, 2019 meeting and recommend one candidate to City Council.

  The Civic Appointments Committee: 1. Selected the following candidates to be interviewed at the November 13, 2019 meeting of the Committee for appointment to the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority: - TRC2-1 - TRC2-11 - TRC2-25 - TRC2-26 - TRC2-27 2. Directed that Confidential Attachments 1 and 2 to the report (October 4, 2019) from the City Clerk remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority.

  Staff recommendation as filed

  The City Clerk recommends that: 1. The Civic Appointments Committee select six of the candidates listed in Table 1 of Confidential Attachment 1 to be interviewed at the November 13, 2019 meeting of the Committee for appointment to the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. 2. The Civic Appointments Committee direct that the confidential information contained in Confidential Attachments 1 and 2 remain confidential in its entirety as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority.

  Appointment of Member to the Aboriginal Affairs Advisory Committee

  The purpose of this report is to have City Council appoint one (1) member of the public to the Aboriginal Affairs Advisory Committee.

  The Civic Appointments Committee recommends that: 1. City Council appoint Harvey Manning to the Aboriginal Affairs Advisory Committee, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on November 14, 2022.

  The City Manager recommends that: 1. City Council appoint the one individual listed in Confidential Attachment 1 to the Aboriginal Affairs Advisory Committee, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on November 14, 2022.

  Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee - 2019 Appointment of Public Member to Fill One Vacancy

  The Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee is composed of 12 members of the public and up to 1 Members of Toronto City Council. There is currently one public member vacancy due to the resignation of one Committee member. The Accessibility Advisory Committee is a legislated requirement under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). This purpose of this report is to have City Council appoint one member of the public to the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee (TAAC).

  The Civic Appointments Committee recommends that: 1. City Council appoint Howard Wax to the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee, for a term of office ending on November 14, 2022, and until a successor is appointed.

  The Chief People Officer, People & Equity Division recommends that: 1. City Council appoint the individual outlined in Confidential Attachment 1 to the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee, for a term of office ending on November 30, 2022, and until a successor is appointed.
