  Appointment of Members to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Two-Spirit (LGBTQ2S+) Advisory Committee

  This report recommends the appointment of 13 individuals to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Two-Spirit (LGBTQ2S+) Advisory Committee.

  The Civic Appointments Committee recommends that: 1. City Council appoint the following individuals to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Two-Spirit (LGBTQ2S+) Advisory Committee, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on November 14, 2022 or until their mandate is completed, whichever comes first: JC Elijah (Eli) Bawuah Monica Forrester Ashante Fray Susan Gapka Berkha Gupta Jad Jaber Ranjith Kulatilake leZlie lee kam Laura McPhie Samantha Peters Terrence Rodriguez Lori Ross Jennifer White 2. City Council direct that the balance of confidential information contained in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (October 29, 2020) from the Chief People Officer remain confidential as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Two-Spirit (LGBTQ2S+) Advisory Committee.

  The Chief People Officer recommends that: 1. City Council appoint the 13 individuals listed in Confidential Attachment 1 to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Two-Spirit (LGBTQ2S+) Council Advisory Body, at the pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on November 14, 2022 or until their mandate is completed, whichever comes first. 2. City Council direct that the balance of confidential information contained in Confidential Attachment 1 remain confidential as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Two-Spirit (LGBTQ2S+) Council Advisory Body.

  Appointment of Citizen Member to the Benefit Fund Committee of the Toronto Fire Department Superannuation and Benefit Fund

  This report presents the Controller's recommendation for the appointment of a citizen member to the Benefit Fund Committee of the Toronto Fire Department Superannuation and Benefit Fund for a term up to December 31, 2024, and until a successor is appointed.

  The Civic Appointments Committee recommends that: 1. City Council appoint William Chinery as Chair of the Benefit Fund Committee of the Toronto Fire Department Superannuation and Benefit Fund, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office up to December 31, 2024 and until a successor is appointed.

  The Controller recommends that: 1. The Civic Appointments Committee recommend that City Council appoint the individual named in Confidential Attachment 1, as Chair of the Benefit Fund Committee of the Toronto Fire Department Superannuation and Benefit Fund, at the pleasure of Council, for a term of office up to December 31, 2024 and until a successor is appointed.
