Introduction and Enactment of General Bills and a Confirming Bill
City Council will introduce and enact General By-laws to confirm the appointment of a Councillor for Ward 10, Spadina-Fort York and a Councillor for Ward 13, Toronto Centre, and a Confirming By-law to confirm the proceedings of this special meeting.
City Council, at its special meeting on June 1, 2022, enacted By-laws 524-2022 to 526-2022.

Appointment to fill the vacancy in the Office of Councillor, Ward 10, Spadina-Fort York
The purpose of this report is to appoint a qualified person to the office of Councillor, Ward 10, Spadina-Fort York.
City Council on June 1, 2022, appointed Joe Mihevc to the Office of Councillor, Ward 10, Spadina-Fort York, for the remainder of this term of Council. City Council also appointed Joe Mihevc to the following, effective June 1, 2022: a. the Economic and Community Development Committee for a term of office until November 14, 2022 and until a successor is appointed; b. the Board of Health for a term of office until November 14, 2022 and until a successor is appointed; c. the Exhibition Place Board of Governors for a term of office until November 14, 2022 and until a successor is appointed; d. the Campbell House Board of Management for a term of office until November 14, 2022 and until a successor is appointed; e. the Harbourfront Centre Board of Directors for a term of office until November 14, 2022 and until a successor is appointed; and f. the Waterfront Revitalization Corporation, as the Mayor's designate, for a term of office to November 14, 2022.

- O Canada - Moment of Silence
CALL TO ORDER: 9:46 a.m. Speaker Nunziata took the Chair and called the Members to order. The meeting opened with O Canada. Members of Council observed a moment of silence and remembered: Joe Dickson Ronnie Hawkins John Gilbert Peck Speaker Nunziata gratefully acknowledged that City Council was meeting on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenasaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. Speaker Nunziata also acknowledged that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit. Speaker Nunziata advised Council of the following: For the benefit of those who are connected to the internet, the City Clerk has posted all of the agenda materials for today's meeting at toronto.ca/council. This meeting is being held as a hybrid meeting. Members of Council, staff, candidates and the public are participating in today's meeting remotely and in person, and the meeting is being streamed live on YouTube. I'd like to welcome the candidates and other members of the public who are with us here today, and who are watching the meeting online.

Appointment to fill the vacancy in the Office of Councillor, Ward 13, Toronto Centre
The purpose of this report is to appoint a qualified person to the office of Councillor, Ward 13, Toronto Centre.
City Council on June 1, 2022, appointed Robin Buxton Potts to the Office of Councillor, Ward 13, Toronto Centre, for the remainder of this term of Council. City Council also appointed Robin Buxton Potts to the following, effective June 1, 2022: a. the Planning and Housing Committee for a term of office until November 14, 2022 and until a successor is appointed; b. the Board of Health for a term of office until November 14, 2022 and until a successor is appointed; c. the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee, as Chair, for a term of office until November 14, 2022 and until a successor is appointed; and d. the Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Advisory Committee, as Chair, for a term of office ending November 14, 2022.
