Tommy Thompson Park Visitor Experience Plan - Accessibility Feedback
Danny Brown, Senior Project Manager, Waterfront, Parks and Recreation, City of Toronto and Mary Anne Young, Senior Project Manager, Special Projects, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority will give a presentation on Tommy Thompson Park Visitor Experience Plan. The City of Toronto and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority are working together on a Visitor Experience Plan (VEP) to study ways to improve how people experience and connect with nature at Tommy Thompson Park. The creation of the VEP was directed by Toronto City Council in 2021 (Council report is online here) and background work to inform the project started in 2025. The development of the VEP presents an opportunity to both retain and deepen relationships with existing users and nurture and welcome newer emerging audiences, while maintaining ecological integrity and the restorative qualities that make TTP special.

A Review of Accessible Parking Permit Exemptions
Michael Cude, Project Manager, Operational Policy and Nazzareno Capano, Acting Director, Street Permits, Transportation Services will give a presentation on A Review of Accessible Parking Permit Exemptions. As per item IE27.16 , Transportation Services will present to TAAC with equitable solutions for issues associated with the current on-street parking exemptions offered to holders of provincial Accessible Parking Permits.

At the invitation of the Chair, Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee, Sze Ching (Michelle) Pang, Toronto Women In Action - Housing Advocacy Coordinator, Nellie's, will give a presentation on key findings from the Breaking Barriers position paper, focusing on the lived experiences of women with disabilities navigating Toronto's affordable housing system. It highlights systemic accessibility barriers and proposes actionable recommendations to improve equity, accountability, and access at the municipal level.
