Automated Shuttle Trial - Accessibility Review
In 2018, the City of Toronto received funding from Transport Canada to conduct a trial with an automated transit shuttle in the City of Toronto and examine the potential for this technology to fill an unmet need in the transit system. Lindsay Wiginton, Project Manager, Transportation Services will provide an update on the project, including service design, and seek the Committee's feedback on accessibility requirements which will be considered as staff develop a Request for Proposals to seek a qualified vendor to provide the service.

Temporary Signs By-law Review - Accessibility Feedback
Negin Shamshiri, Manager of Policy and Planning, and Dylan Feist, Senior Policy and Research Officer, will give a presentation on Municipal Licensing and Standards' Temporary Signs By-law Review. The presentation will provide an overview of the review, outline policy changes being considered to improve the pedestrian clearway and seek accessibility feedback from the Committee related to those changes being considered.

Single-Use and Takeaway Item Reduction Strategy - Phase 2 Consultation - Accessibility Feedback
Annette Synowiec, Interim Director Policy, Planning and Outreach and Charlotte Ueta, Manager Solid Waste Policy and Planning, will give a presentation to provide details of the second phase of public consultations on how to reduce single-use and takeaway items. Based on the input received in Phase 1 last year, this second phase of consultation will seek feedback on specific items and proposed approaches for reduction and associated timelines.

Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee 2020 Meeting Dates
The Terms of Reference for the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee state that the Committee will hold up to six meetings per year at the call of the Chair or Co-Chairs. The Chair has scheduled the following meetings for 2020: Monday, February 3, 2020 - 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2020 - 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2020 - 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2020 - 9:30 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020 - 9:30 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2020 - 9:30 a.m. All the above meetings are to be held in Committee Room 1, City Hall. City Council on July 16, 17 and 18, 2019 approved the 2020 schedule of meetings for City Council and its Committees. The schedule of meetings for Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee has been developed to avoid dates, whenever possible, that conflict with the approved City Council schedule; and to avoid meetings on days of cultural or religious significance.
