Toronto Poverty Reduction Strategy 2019-2022 Action Plan - Update
Sean McIntyre, Acting Manager, Poverty Reduction Strategy Office, Social Development and Finance Administration Division, will provide an update on the recently Council-approved Toronto Poverty Reduction Strategy - 2019-2022 Action Plan. http://app.toronto.ca/tmmis/viewAgendaItemHistory.do?item=2019.EX10.1 . This update is provided in response to a request from the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee at its June 4, 2019 meeting.
The Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee recommends to the Executive Committee that: 1. The Deputy City Manager, Community and Social Services report to the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee in the fourth quarter of 2020 on developing a Persons with Disabilities Poverty Reduction Action Plan.

E-scooter Oversight and Management - Accessibility Feedback
Janet Lo, Senior Project Manager, Transportation Services will provide a presentation on the development of an oversight and management program for e-scooters, which are electric kick-scooters. The presentation will include information on recent provincial and city regulations, the status of the process to date, and will seek the Committee's feedback on accessibility considerations for the oversight of e-scooters.
The Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee recommends to the Infrastructure and Environment Committee that: 1. City Council prohibit e-scooters for use in public spaces including sidewalks and roads, and direct that any City permission granted to e-scooter companies be guided by public safety, in robust consultation with people living with disabilities, and related organizations serving this population.

Wallace Emerson Community Recreation Centre and Park Phase One - Accessibility Features
On behalf of Parks, Forestry and Recreation, Michael Blois, Perkins & Will design firm, will provide a presentation on Phase One of the Wallace Emerson Community Recreation Centre and Park project. The presentation will provide an overview of various components of the new community centre and park, and seek the Committee's feedback on the accessibility features.
