Update on Key City of Toronto Files of Interest to the Local Francophone Community
The Director, Arts and Culture Services, Economic Development and Culture will present the following: 1. Overview of key areas of interest of the Toronto French Language Advisory Committee over the 2014-18 term of Toronto City Council. 2. An overview of the existing MOUs and other formal bi-lateral agreements for the City of Toronto with Francophone jurisdictions. 3. Status update on the Maison de la Francophonie. 4. Available avenues and mechanisms within the City of Toronto for Francophone engagement and advocacy.
The Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee requested the Director, Arts and Culture Services, Economic Development and Culture to develop a work plan based on the comments and suggestions made during the discussion on Item FA1.6, and to report to the next meeting of the Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee.
