French Services at Municipal Museums
As invited by the Chair, Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee, the Director of La Société d'histoire de Toronto (La SHT) will give a presentation on French Services at Municipal Museums.
The Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee recommends that the Economic and Community Development Committee: 1. Request the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture, to explore ways to include support for the development of additional French language resources for City-owned and operated Museums and Cultural Centres in future applications for relevant programs with the Federal Government. 2. Request the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture to explore a plan for a French language pilot at one City-owned and operated Museum and/or Culture Centre, which includes translated materials and resources for visitors including students and report back to the October 17, 2024 meeting of the Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee.
