Overview of Current Partnerships with Other Cities and Countries
The Director, Arts and Culture, Economic Development and Culture will provide an overview of current partnerships with other cities and countries, including any memorandums of understanding currently in place. On March 10, 2020, the Economic and Community Development Committee, on the recommendation of the Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee (Item FA2.6), requested the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture, to provide an overview of current partnerships with other cities and countries, including any Memorandums of Understanding currently in place.
The Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee requested the Director, Arts and Culture Services to report back to the Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee with more details about the partnership with Marseilles, as well as with information about partnerships between Toronto and other Canadian Cities.

Bendale Acres - Partial Designation Under the French Language Services Act
At the invitation of the Ministry of Francophone Affairs (MFA), Bendale Acres is seeking partial designation under the French Language Services Act. To date, the long-term care home has submitted the application for designation of the Pavillon Omer Deslauriers, a 37-bed French language services section in the home, to the Central East Local Health Integration Network (LHIN). It is expected that once the LHIN confirms the submission meets the pre-defined designation criteria, it will be forwarded to the MFA and the Ministry of Health (MOH), French Language Services Office.
The Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee received the report (September 1, 2020) from the General Manager, Seniors Services and Long-Term Care for information.

l'Université de l'Ontario français - Update and Overview
The President, Université de l'Ontario français, will provide an update and overview of the implementation and start-up phase of the university. On March 10, 2020, the Economic and Community Development Committee, on the recommendation of the Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee (Item FA2.6), requested the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture, to invite City officials, together with representatives from l'Université de l'Ontario français, to present to the Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee in 2020 on the City's role in the implementation and start-up phase of the project.
The Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee received the Item for information.

Update to Work Plan for the Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee 2019-22
The Director, Arts and Culture Services, Economic Development and Culture will present an updated work plan for the Committee's consideration. On February 11, 2020, the Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee requested the Director, Arts and Culture Services, Economic Development and Culture to update the Committee's work plan based on the comments and suggestions made during the discussion on Item FA2.6.
The Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee adopted the Revised Draft Work Plan for the Toronto Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee 2019-2022.
