  The Manager, Business Improvement Areas, Economic Development and Culture, and the Manager, Entrepreneurship Services, Economic Development and Culture, will give presentations on Small Business Supports Available (Workplan Item Number 14).

  Committee’s Planning Process and the Presentation of an Annual Progress Report

  In our review of the Committee's current planning practices and mandate, we believe that strengthening planning processes and establishing an annual report will contribute to more transparent, coordinated, and results-oriented decision-making. Adding a dedicated item to discuss planning processes will help clarify how work items are identified, prioritized, and aligned with the Committee's mandate. An annual progress report would also provide members, City staff, and City Council with a clear overview of achievements, challenges encountered, and areas requiring additional attention, thereby supporting long-term planning. This motion therefore seeks to add an item to the agenda to allow the Committee to examine its planning process and to request the development of an annual report outlining the progress made throughout the year.

  That the Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee: Request that City staff provide an overview of current planning practices used to develop agendas, work plans, and Committee priorities. Request that City staff prepare an annual progress report summarizing achievements, updates, and key milestones related to the Committee's work, to be presented before the end of each calendar year.
