Overview of City Governance and Housing Commissioner Review
The Project Director, Corporate Initiatives, City Manager's Office will provide a presentation. It will include a review of Toronto's government and key governance features such as the roles and responsibilities of City Council, Accountability Officers, the public service, advisory bodies such as the Housing Rights Advisory Committee and other aspects of the government. This presentation will also provide background to the housing commissioner review that was conducted in 2021 - 2022 and led to City Council's creation of the Housing Rights Advisory Committee.

An Overview and Update on the Housing TO Action Plan - Housing Secretariat
Valesa Faria, Director, Housing Policy and Strategy, Housing Secretariat will provide a presentation, outlining the mandate and work of the Housing Secretariat at the City of Toronto. The presentation will provide an overview and update of the Housing TO 2020 - 2030 Action Plan, highlighting progress to date, key priorities identified for 2024 and the role of other City Divisions and levels of government.
