Sinking Fund and Long Term Fund - Performance and Compliance Update for the Third Quarter of 2020
As required by the City's Investment Policy, the purpose of this report is to provide the Toronto Investment Board with the following: 1. The performance of the Sinking Fund and Long Term Fund for the third quarter of 2020; and 2. Investment Policy and Plan Compliance certificates and reports for the third quarter of 2020.
The Toronto Investment Board requested the Investment Consultant, in consultation with relevant City staff, to review the risk and return profile of the asset mix in light of the events of 2020 relating to COVID-19 and to provide an update to the next meeting of the Toronto Investment Board.

This report provides an update on the actions taken with regards to the selection of investment managers since the last meeting of the Toronto Investment Board (Board) on October 7, 2020. An updated Investment Plan, with the name of a new global equity investment manager, is included for review and adoption.
The Toronto Investment Board adopted the updated Investment Plan as provided in Attachment 1 of the report (November 19, 2020) from the Director, Capital Markets.

Proposed 2021 Schedule of Toronto Investment Board Meetings
In accordance with Section 25 of the Toronto Investment Board Procedures By-law, regular meetings of the Board are determined by the Board and a schedule of those meetings shall be publicly available by the first Board meeting in each calendar year. The Toronto Investment Board's meetings will be held remotely until further notice. On November 25 and 26, 2020, City Council approved the 2021 annual schedule of meetings for City Council and its Committees. The meeting schedule is available on the City of Toronto's website at www.toronto.ca/council .
