Election of the Chair of the Nominating Panel - Administrative Penalty Tribunal under Municipal Code Chapter 27, Council Procedures, Appendix A2, for a term of office until a successor is appointed.
The Nominating Panel - Administrative Penalty Tribunal: 1. Elected Lilian Ma as Chair of the Nominating Panel - Administrative Penalty Tribunal for a term of office until a successor is appointed.

Appointment of a Public Member as Chair of the Administrative Penalty Tribunal
The Nominating Panel - Administrative Penalty Tribunal will conduct interviews and recommend one candidate currently serving as member of the Administrative Penalty Tribunal as Chair to City Council for appointment to the Administrative Penalty Tribunal.
The Nominating Panel - Administrative Penalty Tribunal recommends that: 1. City Council appoint the following candidate, currently serving as member of the Administrative Penalty Tribunal, as Chair of the Administrative Penalty Tribunal for a term of office ending on July 15, 2025, and until a successor is appointed: Sancia Pinto 2. City Council direct that Confidential Attachments 1 to 4 to the report (June 20, 2023) from the City Clerk remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Administrative Penalty Tribunal.
Staff recommendation as filed
The City Clerk recommends that: 1. City Council appoint one public member currently serving as member of the Administrative Penalty Tribunal as Chair to the Administrative Penalty Tribunal for a term of office as follows: a. if the member is currently serving a term of office on the Administrative Penalty Tribunal ending July 15, 2025, they will be appointed as Chair until the completion of their current term on July 15, 2025, and until a successor is appointed; and b. if the member's current term of office on the Administrative Penalty Tribunal has expired, they will be appointed as Chair for a four year term of office ending July 21, 2027. 2. City Council direct that the confidential information contained in Confidential Attachments 1, 2, 3 and 4 remain confidential in its entirety as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Administrative Penalty Tribunal.
