Proposed Work Plan Development Exercise, 2023 - 2026
Staff from the Gender Equity Unit, People and Equity, will present proposed areas of focus for the Committee based on research, staff consultations and past community consultations. Members will provide feedback and narrow the scope of the work plan in accordance with their expertise and knowledge of community needs.
The Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Advisory requested the Gender Equity Unit, People and Equity report back on the Workplan based on the feedback from the Committee.

Our Plan Toronto - Chapter One Review
Presentation to provide an update on the Our Plan Toronto: Chapter One Review. The Manager of the Official Plan and Legislation team, will provide an overview of the process to date, as well as an outline of the draft, including Indigenous Planning Perspectives, our 2051 vision statement, priorities, principles, and next steps. This presentation is part of the final phase of engagement taking place in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024. The final report will be taken to the April Planning and Housing Committee.

Parks, Forestry and Recreation is replacing its registration and booking software in the fourth Quarter (Q4) of 2024. The purpose of this presentation is to discuss gender data in the new system and seek related advice from the board.

The purpose of this report is to provide an update on the implementation of "Leading and Learning with Pride - A Tool Kit to Support Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex (2SLGBTQI+) Seniors" in City-operated Long-Term Care (LTC) homes. The Tool Kit and accompanying workshop to support its implementation was co-developed by a working group with members from 2SLGBTQI+ seniors with lived experience, subject matter experts and representatives of Seniors Services and Long-Term Care. The Tool Kit contains resources and content designed to help build individual knowledge and skill in the delivery of services to 2SLGBTQI+ seniors, and provides resources to support the building of organizational capacity to create inclusive environments for service providers. The four directives given by City Council on June 15 and 16, 2022 have been undertaken, including the implementation of the Tool Kit and delivery of cultural competence training being active and on-going within the 10 City-operated Long-Term Care (LTC) homes. https://secure.toronto.ca/council/agenda-item.do?item=2022.EX33.17

The presentation will include an outline of engagement frameworks and the opportunity for the committee to provide early feedback in the strategy development processes.
