CreateTO 2024 Operating Budget
As part of the 2024 Budget process management has prepared its operating budget for review and approval by the Board of Directors. The resources supported by the 2024 CreateTO Operating Budget will be deployed to help address some of the city's most pressing challenges, from building affordable homes and inclusive communities, to creating cultural and employment opportunities, driving economic prosperity and achieving climate goals. In addition, CreateTO will continue to support, advise and enable Divisions, Agencies and Corporations (DAC's) of the City to address existing and enhanced real estate capital needs in order to drive program goals through the more effective and efficient use of City-owned real estate.
The Board of Directors of CreateTO: 1. Approved CreateTO's 2024 Operating Budget and directed the Chief Executive Officer to submit the budget to the City of Toronto as part of the 2024 budget process.

For the six months ending June 30, 2023, CreateTO gross expenditures are $1.06 million favourable compared to budget. Annual expenditures are expected to be $0.65 million favourable.

Council Member Appointments to Committees, Boards, and External Bodies
City Council, at its meeting on August 10, 2023, adopted Striking Committee Item ST2.1 and, in so doing, rescinded the appointments made in 2023.ST1.1 and appointed the following Member of Council to the CreateTO Board of Directors for a term of office until December 31, 2024, and until a successor is appointed: Councillor Brad Bradford Mayor Olivia Chow has appointed Councillor Paula Fletcher as the Mayor's designate. In accordance with the Shareholder Directions for Build Toronto and the Toronto Port Lands Company, the members appointed to the CreateTO Board of Directors are also appointed to these Corporation Boards.

The Board of Directors of CreateTO: 1. Approved a market offering process for 72 Amroth Avenue following approval of a business case from the Chief Executive Officer, CreateTO. 2. Directed the Chief Executive Officer, CreateTO, in consultation with the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning, the local Councillor, and local businesses, to establish an advisory group in the first quarter of 2024 to advise on the Beaches-East York Pilot Project at 72 Amroth Avenue, and help inform lessons learnt in developing missing middle of a similar scale on other appropriate sites.
