Mr. Johnston is a CA/CPA with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. He has extensive experience in the real estate industry, spending the last six years as the Chief Operating Officer at Mattamy Homes, responsible for operation of the company's Canadian and US homebuilding operations. Prior to that, Mr. Johnston was President, Monarch Corporation and was responsible for all aspects of the company's Canadian operations. During the course of his extensive career, Mr. Johnston has been affiliated with a number of real estate and other organizations and boards, and has significant experience in both corporate and public sector governance. Mr. Johnston served on the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation Board, a Crown Corporation, for over eight years as Director.
