City Council on December 17 and 18, 2019, adopted the following: 1. City Council amend Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 553, Lottery Licensing, by deleting all references to City Clerk and replacing with Executive Director, Municipal Licensing and Standards.

Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 553, Lottery Licensing ("Chapter 553"), currently authorizes the City Clerk to issue, renew, suspend, and cancel lottery licenses. The Gaming Services Unit, responsible for lottery licensing, is currently organizationally located in Toronto Election Services in the City Clerk's Office. To improve service alignment, Gaming Services is being transferred to Municipal Licensing and Standards at the end of 2019.
