The Infrastructure and Environment Committee: 1. In accordance with Section 71-11.1.C of the City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 71 (Financial Control By-Law), granted authority to amend Blanket Contract No. 47018672 with Sidcon Contracting Ltd., for the provision of mechanical litter removal services by an additional amount of $1,400,000 excluding all applicable taxes, revising the current contract value from $5,783,669 excluding all applicable taxes to $7,183,669 excluding all applicable taxes.

The purpose of this report is to seek Infrastructure and Environment Committee approval to amend Blanket Contract 47018672 in the amount of $1,400,000 excluding all applicable taxes increasing the target value to $7,183,669 excluding all applicable taxes. The additional funding is required to address the over expenditure due to an underestimate in the overall contract value for the provision of "Winter Standby Hours" outlined in the RFQ but not reflected on the price form.

The increase to the total contract target value is required to process the remainder of the invoices for sidewalk and laneway cleaning through the continuation of the 5 year contract ending December 31, 2019. Contract 47018672 was awarded to Sidcon Contracting Ltd. as a result of RFQ 6033-14-3094 for the provision of mechanical litter removal from City sidewalks, gutters, sodded/hard surfaced boulevards, laneways, tree planters and from around the perimeter of bus shelters, litter receptacles and other street fixtures and other areas as instructed by the Contract Administrator for the City of Toronto's Solid Waste Management Services Division from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019, for the area defined as Area 1 the downtown core.
