The Toronto Music Advisory Committee recommends that: 1. The Economic and Community Development Committee request the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture to consult with stakeholders in the music and arts and culture sector, as part of the work on potential Do-It-Yourself (DIY) venues on city-owned space.

The Music Sector Development Officer will present information on the approaches used in Paris, France, to utilize city-owned space for do-it-yourself (DIY) music and art activity, and also on Toronto's "Community Space Tenancy Policy." Toronto Music Advisory Committee members will discuss ideas to assist in shaping the upcoming staff report on principles, operating models, and opportunities for DIY venues in city-owned spaces, to be submitted to the Economic and Community Development Committee in March 2020.
