The Bay-Cloverhill and Church-Wellesley Neighbourhoods have seen and will continue to experience an unprecedented amount of growth over the next five years, along with necessary investments to replace ageing infrastructure. This has made it challenging to coordinate projects with public and private parties that often need to occupy the same right-of-way and use the same arterial roadways for the delivery of their construction materials.

Toronto is committed to achieving pedestrian and road safety through initiatives like Vision Zero. There are 24 projects already underway or commencing within the next six months, that we are aware of, within the small geographic area between Bay Street, Bloor Street, Jarvis Street and College Street/Carlton Street. To achieve our vision, these projects require the coordination of multiple City divisions, private developers, local stakeholders and residents to ensure the safety of pedestrians and minimize the traffic impacts on local and arterial roads remains our top priority. Those projects include: 1.
