As we strive to improve the visitor experience at the Toronto Zoo, it would be beneficial to expand public transit access from surrounding municipalities, providing for new opportunities to easily plan a visit to the zoo for everyone. Adding public transit access from the surrounding municipalities will encourage residents to add the Toronto Zoo as a regular destination for multiple visits as well as easy access for tourists with accommodations in Durham Region or York Region.

Providing a more convenient way travel to the Toronto Zoo offers all ages with the opportunity for a wonderful experience to explore the seven zoogeographic regions with over 5,000 animals representing over 450 species, the Wildlife Health Centre, walking trails and much more making it one of the Toronto Region's premium nature destinations.
