This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. The purpose of this report is to recommend that the existing parking prohibition, in effect at all times, on the south and west side of Viella Street be amended to prohibit standing at all times. The proposed prohibition was requested by area residents, in consultation with staff and the Ward Councillor, to address concerns regarding excessive and long-term parking and congestion in the area.

Staff recommended

The Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services recommends that: 1. Etobicoke York Community Council rescind the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the south and west side of Viella Street, between Symes Road and Tarragona Boulevard. 2. Etobicoke York Community Council prohibit standing at all times on the south and west side of Viella Street, between Symes Road and Tarragona Boulevard.
