Rescinded the existing maximum 5 minute parking regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday on the west side of George Street, from a point 31 metres north of King Street to a point 43 metres further north. 2. Prohibited stopping at all times on the west side of George Street, from a point 31 metres north of King Street to a point 43 metres further north. 3. Prohibited southbound left-turn movements at all times at George Street and the private driveway from 23 George Street, located on the east side of George Street, approximately 85 metres north of King Street.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. Transportation Services is recommending that Etobicoke York Community Council prohibit northbound left-turns at all times at the H.J. Alexander Community School kiss-and-ride loop, and southbound left-turns at all times at the St. John the Evangelist School kiss-and-ride loop on to George Street.

George Street connects Church Street and King Street and also serves as an access to both St. John the Evangelist School and H.J. Alexander Community School. These prohibitions are intended to provide for a more orderly flow of traffic exiting both schools. Transportation Services is also recommending Etobicoke York Community Council rescind the existing maximum 5 minute parking regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday on the west side of George Street between a point 31 metres north of King Street and a point 43 metres further north, and prohibit stopping at all times at this location instead. The proposed prohibitions, will address traffic safety concerns and reduce congestion in the area.

Etobicoke York Community Council prohibit stopping at all times on the west side of George Street, from a point 31 metres north of King Street to a point 43 metres further north.
