Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter sections of the roadway to install one

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. This report summarizes the results of the traffic calming poll for owners and occupants of Lester Avenue, between Keele Street and Richardson Avenue. Polling ballots were mailed to the affected residents on December 2, 2019 and 40% of the residents on Lester Avenue responded. As a result, the minimum response rate of 50% plus 1 votes needed to proceed with the installation was not achieved.

The Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services recommends that: 1. Etobicoke York Community Council NOT authorize the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Lester Avenue, between Keele Street and Richardson Avenue.
