The Toronto and East York Community Council: 1. Prohibited westbound left turns from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, from the driveway at 70-72 Carlton Street, located on the east side of Church Street at a point approximately 45 metres north of Carlton Street.

A mixed-use development consisting of a 37 storey residential condominium building has been constructed by Tribute Communities at the municipal addresses of 70 - 72 Carlton Street and 403 Church Street. The site is bounded by a future residential development (411 Church Street) to the north, existing residential uses to the east, Carlton Street to the south and Church Street to the west. As a condition of the Site Plan Agreement (Site Plan Application 13 135070 STE 27 SA), the developer is required in advance of the anticipated date of first occupancy of the project, to enact bylaws with respect to the proposed westbound left-turn prohibition at the driveway access on 70-72 Carlton Street.

The intent of this prohibition is to improve operations and safety by eliminating westbound left turns onto Carlton Street, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday and have motorists exit this location with a right-turn movement.

Toronto and East York Community Council prohibit westbound left turns from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, from the driveway at 70-72 Carlton Street, located on the east side of Church Street at a point approximately 45 metres north of Carlton Street.
