The proposed change will align the operating times of the maximum one-hour parking regulation with the operating times of the permit parking regulation. During the course of the investigation, it was noted that a short-term parking area on the west side of Booth Avenue, between Louis Kesten Lane and a point 22 metres south of Queen Street East, originally installed in August 2000 for the Win Harris Child Care Centre, is currently under-utilized as the centre is no longer operational. As such, Transportation Services recommends the short-term parking area be rescinded and in its place, parking be prohibited at all times.
