The decision

2020-12-02 · Toronto and East York Community Council · adopted

As filed

The Toronto and East York Community Council: 1. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the south side of Camden Street, between Spadina Avenue and Brant Street. 2. Prohibited stopping at all times on the south side of Camden Street, between Spadina Avenue and Brant Street.

On the agenda

As the city filed it

Residents on Camden street have noted serious problems with parking on the south curbside of Camden, as well as parking on the south sidewalk. This has serious consequences, as emergency vehicles and solid waste vehicles cannot pass between the cars parked on the north and south side of the street. Staff have advised that changing the existing conditions will serve to improve compliance and enable safe conditions for all road users.

Staff recommended

Councillor Cressy recommends that: 1. Toronto and East York Community Council rescind the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the south side of Camden Street, between Spadina Avenue and Brant Street. 2. Toronto and East York Community Council prohibit stopping at all times on the south side of Camden Street, between Spadina Avenue and Brant Street.
