The General Government and Licensing Committee: 1. In accordance with Section 71-11.1.C of the City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 71 (Financial Control), authorized an amendment to Contract Number 47021159 issued to Barricade Traffic Services Inc. for the non-exclusive supply and delivery of Traffic Cones for the City of Toronto's Purchasing and Materials Management Division in the amount of $1,040,674 net of Harmonized Sales Tax, increasing the contract value from $1,034,644 to $2,075,318 net of Harmonized Sales Tax.

The purpose of this report is to request authority to amend and increase the value of Contract Number 47021159 issued to Barricade Traffic Services Incorporated for the non-exclusive supply and delivery of Traffic Cones. The total amendment being requested is for an additional amount of $1,040,674 net of Harmonized Sales Tax, increasing the overall contract value from $1,034,644 to $2,075,318. The contract is managed by the Materials Management and Stores section of Purchasing and Materials Management on behalf of all City Divisions.

This Contract was used extensively to support response to COVID-19 over the course of the last nine months including several closures of City properties, City streets and facilities and supported ActiveTO, CurbTo and CafeTO. This Contract has been utilized to procure items such as traffic cones, barriers, road closure signs, candlesticks etc. to close off and block entry/access to these areas. This Contract amendment will be used to cover the current over expenditure and accommodate the urgent ongoing requirements in order to continue the supply for all City locations through the third option year and into the fourth and final optional year of the Contract.
