City Council on May 5 and 6, 2021, adopted the following: 1. City Council amend the existing stopping prohibition in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Monday to Friday, except public holidays, on the north side of Wilson Avenue, between Belgrave Avenue and a point 167.5 metres west, to be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, except public holidays.

As the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) operates a transit service on Wilson Avenue, City Council approval of this report is required. Transportation Services is recommending that stopping be prohibited from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, except public holidays, on the north side of Wilson Avenue, between Belgrave Avenue a point 167.5 metres west. Armour Heights Public School is located on the north side of this section of Wilson Avenue and it is not desirable to drop-off or pick-up students in this area.

This activity also impedes traffic flow on Wilson Avenue. The prohibition is necessary to discourage this activity. During the course of a traffic investigation, it was noted that the recommended stopping prohibition is posted on Wilson Avenue with only partially supporting regulations. The recommendation in this report will correct this inconsistency.

The Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services recommends that: 1. City Council amend the existing stopping prohibition in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Monday to Friday, except public holidays, on the north side of Wilson Avenue, between Belgrave Avenue and a point 167.5 metres west, to be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, except public holidays.
