In response to safety concerns raised by residents, and municipal colleagues at the City of Markham, I am requesting that Transportation Services staff evaluate options to improve road safety at Steeles Avenue East and Reesor Road. I ask that staff report their findings to the June 2022 Scarborough Community Council meeting, and share their findings with the City of Markham so that we can work collaboratively to implement the proposed safety improvements.
