On the agenda
As the city filed it
Over the past year, I have heard from residents across Ward 9 (Davenport) requesting bollard installations and replacements on account of safety concerns. Bollards act as both a physical and visual barrier, protecting people and property from damage without impeding the public right of way. In the reported cases, residents have incurred significant property damage and a diminished quality of life. Commonly used applications such as signage and traditional police enforcement have been ineffective and do not provide enough of a deterrent against vehicle impact.

As a result, I am recommending the installation of rigid, impact resistant, fixed-in-place bollards at the following locations to protect property and enhance community safety.
