Remove a parking space on the east side of Unity Road north of the Lane designated N Torbrick E Unity Road to improve sightlines and report to the February 16, 2022 meeting of Toronto and East York Community Council. 2. Prepare a plan to implement temporary curb extensions at the intersection of Torbrick Road and Unity Road and report to the April 21, 2022 meeting of Toronto and East York Community Council..

3. Use flexiposts to narrow the intersection at Torbrick Road and Unity Road to make it safer for pedestrians and to submit a design for it to the April 21, 2022 meeting of Toronto and East York Community Council. 4. Consider the addition of stop bars and a pedestrian zone at the Greenwood Avenue/Torbrick Road intersection which also has a Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) stop on the south side of the intersection and report to the April 21, 2022 meeting of Toronto and East York Community Council.

Recently there was a scary incident where a vehicle struck a young girl in the vicinity of Torbrick Road and Unity Road, in the Old Riverdale neighbourhood. This is a route for school children going to a number of local schools as well as for people accessing Monarch Park. Unity Road is also an access point for Metrolinx trucks and other vehicles to access the Rail Corridor for the GO expansion. I witnessed Metrolinx vehicles on the site visit and this makes these requests more urgent.

In the next month I will be consulting with the community the introduction of a stop sign at the Torbrick /Unity intersection as well as speed humps on Torbrick. Just before the holidays I met with some concerned community members and Transportation staff on site and would like the support of Community Council to make these formal recommendations:
