Recently, I have heard from the homeowner of 127 Earlscourt Avenue requesting the installation of an accessible parking space (APS). In the reported case, both residents are seniors with severe mobility and health issues. For these reasons they have applied and qualified for an accessible parking permit. Traffic Operations staff conducted an investigation of the property and noted that an on-street accessible space would not be supported under their guidelines.

However, by way of Toronto East York Community Council I am making an amendment to facilitate the installation of an accessible parking space in order to provide the residents with convenience and an improved quality of life.
