City Council on November 8 and 9, 2023, adopted the following: 1. City Council appoint Stephen Conforti to the position of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for the City of Toronto, with such appointment to be effective November 13, 2023, subject to written acceptance by the candidate, of the terms and conditions of a contract of employment offered by the City. 2. City Council authorize the City Manager to negotiate terms and conditions of employment with Stephen Conforti.

The recruitment process to fill the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer position will conclude in the very near future. The City Manager will submit a supplementary report in advance of the November 8 meeting of City Council with a confidential attachment that recommends the appointment of the candidate for the position of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.
