Requested the Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services, continue preparations to implement a westbound left-turn phase that will operate during the morning and afternoon rush period at the intersection of Sheppard Avenue West and Abraham Welsh Road by the third quarter of 2024.

My office have received numerous calls from residents advising of the dangerous situation at making a left turn onto Abraham Welsh Rd while travelling Westbound on Sheppard Ave W. Residents have advised of long wait times to turn left thus creating conditions where cars are rushing to make the turn and putting pedestrians at risk. To ensure the safety of the community, I recommend implementing a Westbound Left Turn Signal during the morning and afternoon rush period at this location.
