City Council recognize the significant and important initiative to ensure critical barriers are removed to those in a crisis and seeking help. 2. City Council continue to endorse the 988 crisis line initiative; and display the 988 crisis line information poster in all City-owned buildings.

Canada has adopted 988, a National three-digit suicide and crisis hotline. Member of Parliament, MP Todd Doherty, Carlton-Prince George, has communicated with my office requesting if the City of Toronto would recognize the important initiative as well as advertise the 988 suicide prevention poster in all City of Toronto owned buildings, including and not exclusive to: Public Libraries, Community Centres and Police stations. https://988.ca/get-involved Advertising the posters could help save countless lives each day.
