This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. At its meeting of October 18, 2023, Scarborough Community Council referred Item SC8.11 regarding a request for Transportation Services to assess vehicle speeds on Port Union Road, between Lawrence Avenue East and Bridgend Street, for staff to report back on potential traffic calming measures and other findings.

Transportation Services to update the report with respect to revised warrant criteria for traffic calming and report back to the Scarborough Community Council at it's November 16, 2023 meeting. This report provides an interim update on the requested item. As the revised traffic calming criteria was not approved by City Council at the time of this report's submission, no further evaluation has been undertaken and this will need to be addressed in a subsequent report to Scarborough Community Council.
