East Liberty Street is classified as a collector road. The other two collector roads in the neighbourhood, Atlantic Avenue, between King Street West and Liberty Street, and Liberty Street, both have a speed limit of 30 km/h. In order to have a consistent speed limit within Liberty Village and to improve safety for all road users, it is recommended that the speed limit be reduced from 40km/h to 30km/h.
