On the agenda
As the city filed it
Dear Aboriginal Affairs Advisory Committee Members, As we move forward with our 3rd meeting since reconvening as a committee, I wanted to revise the agenda for this meeting, published on January 23, 2025, to add the following item: AA 3.5: Agenda Setting Discussion. As the Committee Chair, I worked with city staff and TASSC to draft the agenda for meeting #3 based on what the committee has discussed to date, as the key areas of interest or "themes" that the members would like to provide advice and recommendations towards.

To ensure transparency and a collective approach, I am suggesting a standing item on our upcoming agendas where we can all have an opportunity to provide input towards agenda planning for the remainder of our meetings. As the Chair, I will still continue to work with TASSC and City staff to prepare agendas for upcoming meetings, using the input gathered through our conversations at meetings. The intention will be to ensure agendas continue to be driven by the committee as a whole, and that we use our meeting time as strategically as possible.
Staff recommended
I am recommending that the Aboriginal Affairs Advisory Committee: 1. Include AA 3.5: Agenda Setting Discussion as "new business" on the agenda for meeting 3 of the Aboriginal Affairs Advisory Committee on January 30, 2025.
